So, since we just saw the Kaman's Art people... Again.... I thought I'd look into it a little more. Apparently, even these silly drawings can become masterpieces. Check out this website to find artists that devote their careers to caricatures and create some great art while doing it.

Sand Sculpture Art
Sand sculpture art is a unique way to make sculptures. It has a realistic quality and can be built as big and extravagant as disired as long as there is enough sand provided.

3D tattoos

http://sharethesepictures.blogspot.com/2012/07/cool-3d-tattoos.html
Tese are 3d tattoos. Tattoos have been around almost as long as humans have but diffrent techniques and styles are created all the time. These tattos are diffrent then most because the show depth and contrast to fool the eye to think the image is coming at them.
Deviled Egg Chicks
The Deviled eggs are a fun artistic way to serve orderves. The Eggs are made to look like hatching chicks which can make the dish stand out. I would love to serve this dish for Easter!

Ice Sculptures
People have been carving things out of just about anything for centuries. When the winter comes round though most people start to carve out of stuff a little more "cool". Ice Sculptures are very delicate and can break very easily if not careful. There are lots of competitions for who can make the better sculpture. Even though it's extremely difficult to do the finished product is beautiful.
Tate Britain exhibition to pay homage to matchstick master LS Lowry
Tate Britain exhibition to pay homage to matchstick master LS Lowry
(Hopes that retrospective will persuade art world to take the quintessential painter of northern, working-class life seriously)
The LS Lowry exhibition at Tate Britain will compare paintings such as The Fever Van (1935) with works by Pissarro and Seurat. Photograph: Courtesy of Tate Britain
LS Lowry the quintessential painter of northern, working-class life – is among the most divisive of British artists. A household name, beloved of the public and acquiring big prices at auctions. He is at the same time wildly unfashionable in the art world, derided for his apparently naive images of "matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs" set among the industrial landscapes of Salford, Pendlebury and Manchester.
But this June Tate Britain, in London, is to mount the first major retrospective devoted to Lowry since the artist's death in 1976. The show is co-curated by one of the world's pre-eminent scholars of French impressionism, TJ Clark.

Sculptures
These are sculptures done by Lin Liang-Tsai. These sculptures show legs and feet in motion. Sculptures can be put anywhere in the public and even if it doesn't look good it still gets peoples attention and if it gets their attention they get an immediate appreciation for the art work.

Charcoal Landscapes
This is some work from the artist that got me inspired for my last two individual pieces. Her depth and contrast is purely amazing. Check out her website http://www.katherinenelsonart.com/
Still Picasso?
This is a work of Picasso on a building that has been severely damaged by a terrorist attack. The government wants to demolish the building and move the mural, but some say that by moving the piece it will no longer be considered Picasso. i believe that they should move it somewhere safer. since the building is unsafe to the residents in the city i think that keeping the mural defeats the purpose of having art.

Holocaust themed artwork
This article that I read was mostly eye-catching because it raises a moral question: should art push the limits of sensitivity.
I think that for the most part, historically, artists have been given some leverage with sensitivity, but there's always the question of what is too far. I think that these pieces, although with good intentions, are "putting salt on fresh wounds". There are holocaust survivors still living today, and what one person may see as remembrance can be seen as disrespect to another.
On the other hand, though, I understand that an artist has a right to express personal opinion within their artwork. I'm particularly fascinated with the sculpture of Hitler as a young child. This is interesting to me because it doesn't show Hitler as the monster that people remember him as; it shows Hitler as a boy, and perfectly harmless. I don't think that many Holocaust-survivors will appreciate this, but what's interesting is, that this is the truth. Hitler was a monster and one of the worst in history, but before he was a monster, Adolf Hitler was a young schoolboy.
Crazy, isn't it?
I'd like to know what everyone else has to say about the issue.

Portraits
Well since my concentration involves portraits, i found this water color self portrait by Robert Carter. I'm just really amazed at how people can portray themselves through artwork and make it look realistic!
Hand 3-D Illusion
http://www.illusionspoint.com/hand-painted-optical-illusions/hawk-optical-illusion/
This link should take you to a picture of a hand painted hand illusion. Or to put it simply the most epic form of face painting......only on a persons hand.....
Anyway the artwork/illsusion in this picture, it looks so life like! The hand is also pose in different ways to make the illusion work even better. It's like when someone makes shadow puppets with their hands.

America's top 12 ArtPlaces for 2013
ArtPlace describes good art places as "as having successfully combined the arts, artists, and venues for creativity and expression with independent businesses, restaurants, and a walkable lifestyle...". This online newspaper organization has listed their top 12 places in America. See how many are in the South. See how many are in the North. This is interesting to me. Click here for the list

The art of cubism
I like this peice because the artist did a good job of fragmenting the peice. The artist also showed a lot of gradients in the color and used a great choice of colors.

This link goes to a really cool optical illusion where you take the outline of a hand and make lines go over it in the shape of the hand outline, making the hand pop out like a 3-D image.

New Watercolor Techniques
I found some new Watercolor techniques that look really cool. I was browsing through Pinterest and found this pin. Some of the techniques are what Brandt taught us but I saw some new ones that would be really fun to experiment with and see how they look first-hand. Click on the link that's highlighted and it'll take you to the website.
Surreal photographs by Andrea Galvani
Horses, balloons, bunnies and smoke.....
Andrea Galvani, ‘The Intelligence of Evil #5′, 2007.
This picture is just one of the few strange ones on the website. I like this one the most not only because the body is just turning into smoke but because there is normal people in the background. Not seeing this what so ever. Oblivious to the fact he is there.
Andrea Galvani, ‘N-1 #6′, 2007.
This is another one from the collection. These pieces of art work are just vague, awkward... It is hard to describe but i like it.
Andrea Galvani, ‘Death of an image 12′, 2005.
This is the last one I am putting on this post however here is the link to the rest of them: Click HERE
