Millais found

A painting worth about 50,000 British pounds (about 77,000 US dollars) done by John Everett Millais was recently found. The owner acquired it as a 9th birthday gift. Over the years, the painting found itself covered in dust in the attic protected only by the mattress in front.

During a recent move, the owner had an estated auction. The auctioneer found recognized the style and did some research.

The painting is not only a rare find, but it shed's light on the artist's personal love life.

Other recently uncovered works include Jackson Pollock's and Australian works found in Texas.
