Artwork in Google Earth

Google Earth is constantly getting better. You can now visit museums and see famous works upclose. Upclose so much that you can see some of the most detailed brushstrokes. The first image here is like looking at Earth itself. You can zoom in even more than this-- almost unnecessarily.

Open Google Earth, make sure you have 3-D buildings checked in the Layers section, and type in "The Prado Museum, Madrid." By the way, this piece is by Francisco Goya and is found at The Prado Museum, Madrid.

  1. I saw that painting at El Prado this year. My dad loves Goya, he must have stood in front of it for 30 minutes.
