Mike Wong Joon Fong

Wong Joon Fong is an upcoming abstract and contemporary artist. He paints with experimental techniques. This peice is titled "Do Not Be Afriad" and was created with strongly diluted paint, giving the painting a look of stained glass. Wong Joon Fong bases many of his paintings on his theory that "I believe being human means we are spiritual." His paintings can be related to Fong's spiritual beliefs. Wong Joon Fong uses a unique technique in which he drips painted onto the canvas, allowing it to "paint itself".

  1. I could definitely get into this. The splattering/drip technique of some of his other paintings was played out soon after Pollock. However, some of his other painting (like the one you posted) is something new to me.
