Ridiculous!

This is the before-and-after photo of Elias Martinez's "Ecce Homo" ("Behold the Man").
Being over a century old this painting of Jesus Christ had sustained major damage to the facial region, and to the bottom of the page. Earlier this year, an 80-year-old woman decided she wanted to "restore" the painting. She started by re-painting the tunic, then moved to the face. Her intentions were very nice, but she's honestly not quite as talented as the original artist. Her rendition of this piece does the real piece a great disservice. She claims that the priest that was in charge was fully aware of her "restoration" project.

Although she's old, unless she's completely senile, she had to know that this was a horrible decision. She has officially ruined a perfectly awesome piece or artwork.
