Paper cut artist Risa Fukui used randomized patterns of lines and very few colors to give detail and highlights to a paper cut portrait she designed. I plan on incorporating map patterns of lines and shapes into my paper cut art. The way the lines help guide the shadows and the structure of the face reminds my of the way the lines on a map are randomly laid out.
