this Encaustic Painting was done by Kevin Frank. the reason why i choose this composition to share was because it shows the potential Encaustic painting can have. for instance look at the detail Frank uses. i could practically feel the wind my self. and the meticulous attention to detail in the face of the dog just astounds me. and the texture he creates with fur and the grass. in addition to the shine of the coat and the gleem to the eyes really exemplifies encaustic painting.
