I really like this picture and I think that it is partly because I read a story about the artist who created it. She is studying abroad in Turkey, and she has always wanted to go to the middle east. Now that she's there she loves the culture and how refined and sophisticated everything is. To her Turkey is a dreamland and I totally see that expressed in her art. It's a mixed media piece that shows several places of worship; and it's almost a surreal style as well. I really am in love with the colors she chose they give a dreamy and glamorous mood. I also think that the flower looks similar to the one I used in my carl marx piece of Becca haha.
