Andy Warhol's Death & Disaster Art
For my extended essay paper for IB I am conducting a study on Andy Warhol's death & disaster themed artwork. I thought that it was very interesting becasue not many people know about Andy Warhol's artwork besides his most famous pieces, such as his Marylin Monroes. A lot of his death and disaster pieces have very vivid images such as the ones I have posted, and they have underlying messages about how death is presented in the media and how death is at times glamorized. These specific pieces are car crashes. Andy Warhol was facianted by the instantious fame that the vicitms in the car crash recieved and how the imgaes were shown over and over in newspapers and on TV.
