Jose Manuel Merello

The combinations of bright, pink and maroon colors in this piece immediately made it stand out to me. Painted by Spanish abstract and expressionist painter, Jose Manuel Merello, this piece is actually referred to as a still life. It may have been painted from 1st person perspective, but this piece definitely takes on an abstract quality. The striking colors and Merello's usage of shape and space create a unique movement within the painting.
